Greenfield Cottages is a series of farm buildings, which have been renovated for Self Catering Accommodation. It was part of a working farm dating back to the 1800's and stands in its own well kept grounds. The surrounding countryside is picturesque and the views from the cottages are exceptional. Greenfield is approximately 1 mile from Kirkwall, where you will find all the amenities you will need for a holiday in the Orkney Isles. Orkney offers a wealth of history and scenery to keep even the most active happy. Our tourist attractions are numerous and we feel sure that you will find the brochures and tourist information packs provided in each cottage a help in planning which sites to visit. |
The accommodation is within walking distance of the town and also offers views from the garden over Kirkwall Bay. The location is peaceful being some distance from a quiet road giving it a relaxed country feeling. Dogs are accepted with prior arrangement. Ample parking is provided at Greenfield. Travel cot and high chair can be provided if needed. The garden is open to our guests should they wish to make use of it. There is seating and a large picnic bench outside for communal use. The fields front and rear of Greenfield are populated with Shetland ponies during the summer months and has always proved to be a hit with the children. |

Each cottage has a rustic feel, in keeping with the renovation from the farm buildings. They are heated throughout and are tastefully decorated. All cottages have been fitted with quality pine furniture. All cottages are equipped to a high standard and most have futons / sofa beds, providing extra bed space for your visiting guests. Towels, bed linen and electricity are inclusive in the costs. |
